Olivemill

Located in the eastern part of the village is the olive mill, an adobe made building with a tiled roof.

Salvaged within the olive mill building is all the equipment the mill used, such as the mill stones, the presser with the sieves, the separator and a huge generator which produced electricity.

According to testimonies by senior residents of the village, the olive oil presser was established by four people, namely Achilleas Anastasiou, Theodotos Kyriakides, Antonis Papaevagorou and Kyriakos Savva.

What is noteworthy is that the particular olive-oil presser used to be the largest and most modern one in the entire Limassol District at the time and for this reason many producers from the surrounding villages would go there.

The Community Council is planning to restore the olive-oil presser and to convert it into a museum.
