Natural Environment

Akapnou enchants its visitors with its rich natural vegetation, as well as the sweet sound of the water from the stream of side-river Vasilopotamos, which flows almost constantly.

Strolling along the Community one encounters citrus, olive, grain and fruit cultivations, as well as uncultivated land expanses with wild vegetation, occupying 3500 hectares.

A particular place in Akapnou hold the olive groves since the olive trees occupy an expanse of 7-8000 hectares.

East of the village, on the borders between Limassol and Larnaca there is a forest of approximately 2000000 square metres where one encounters wild vegetation, wild olive trees, pines and cashew trees.

Finally, as far as the fauna of the Community is concerned, this presents the features of the fauna in the wider area.
